NAIDOC Week is an Australian observance lasting from the first Sunday in July until the following Sunday. NAIDOC Week celebrates the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

The week is celebrated not just in the Indigenous communities but also in increasing numbers of government agencies, schools, local councils and workplaces.
This year Mungabareena will celebrate NAIDOC by hosting a Community Evening at 21 Hovell St. Wodonga.

Following the Welcome to Country, Flag Raising & Smoking Ceremony, the community will be offered a range of cultural activities including an Art Exhibition, Elders Discussion Tent, Workshops, live entertainment, Information Stalls. Dinner will also be provided, and we will also be giving out lucky door prizes.

We are seeking expressions of interest for the following;

Entertainers & Artists

Mungabareena are seeking expressions of interest from artists and entertainers wishing to participate on the day in our open mic sessions.
