Total HRM has partnered with Mungabareena Aboriginal Corporation (MAC) to appoint their General Manager in this newly created role. We are seeking a strategic and visionary leader who is committed to achieving strategic and meaningful organisational performance and quality outcomes across all programs and initiatives.

In this role, you will influence the long-term vision of the organisation and its ability to support and empower Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people in our communities. As an innovation champion, you will lead and drive growth, and ensure the effective delivery of programs and services that address the needs of our community.

About the role:

  • Working alongside and reporting to the Chief Executive Officer in leading the corporation’s management team, operations and resources.
  • Lead the development and implementation of the MAC service delivery framework, comprising service integration, key stakeholder engagement, and policy/best practice improvement.
  • Supervise, mentor and coach all direct report managers, to ensure enhanced employee wellbeing and service management capability.
  • Oversee financial operations, including budget development, financial reporting, and grant management. Ensure financial sustainability and accountability, maximizing resources to support the organization’s mission and vision.
  • Identify community needs and develop innovative programs and initiatives that address those needs. Monitor and evaluate program outcomes to ensure effectiveness and make data-driven decisions for continuous improvement.

Your core talents:

  • Qualifications in Business Management with well-developed leadership capabilities and senior management experience.
  • Demonstrated ability in strategic planning, organisational development, project and resource management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Sound financial management skills, including budget development, financial analysis, and grant management.
  • Experience in program development, implementation, and evaluation.
