Mungabareena Aboriginal Corporation provides rental housing to community members. The organisation owns 15 properties – 11 houses and four units under the CHIP program funded by FaCHSIA. Mungabareena has a Housing Management Plan which outlines housing policies and procedures according to the CHIP guidelines. The Housing Officer monitors repairs and maintenance of the properties.
In order to be eligible for the Mungabareena Aboriginal Corporation Housing Program you must have been a member of the corporation for at least 3 months. To apply for housing, you must fill out and submit a Housing Form. Your application will then need to be approved by the Mungabareena board at it’s next meeting.
Please note: The Mungabareena Aboriginal Corporation housing list can be quite long and we do not have priority housing, our system is based on the principal of first in first served.
