Mungabareena Aboriginal Corporation (MAC) is a Community Controlled Organisation and provides a range of services for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people living within the Ovens Murray region.

Our Purpose

Mungabareena Aboriginal Corporation was established in 1994 by local Aboriginal community members with the aim of having a healthy and proud community through motivation, education and cultural acknowledgement and giving a sense of belonging.

Position Overview

The role of the Community Partnerships and Alliance Broker is to bring together leaders to explore, gather and analyse information to enhance and promote better coordinated community opportunities. This will involve working across and with State and Commonwealth Government agencies, our First Nation leaders and other relevant community stakeholders. The aim is to achieve a more strategic approach developing an overall governance framework that best guides the implementation of an ovens and Murray governance alliance group.

This position will identify new partnership opportunities, add value to current alliances, engage in gathering data sets, identifying gaps, and servicing improvement opportunities.

The individual in this position will be responsible for creating and facilitating the effective implementation of a set of agreed-upon terms of reference, measurable objectives, values, and accountabilities within the governance framework.

Operating within MAC, this position will closely collaborate with our CEO and provide monthly reports to an Alliance Group and/or a Community Steering Committee.
