Koori First Steps Preschool aims to provide children with a high-quality Preschool program that reinforces their cultural identity and builds their confidence to provide them with a solid foundation for life-long learning.

Eligibility

Koori First Steps Preschool caters for children from 3 years of age until they commence School.

How do I access this service?

Enrolment forms can be obtained from the Preschool.
You will need to provide a copy of your child’s immunisation record and Birth certificate when enrolling.

Sessions

The Preschool sessions are held:
Mondays 9.00am to 2.00pm
Tuesdays 9.00am to 2.00pm
Thursdays 9.00 to 2.00pm

Relationships with Families

At Koori First Steps we aim to build strong relationships and connections with our families. We recognise the importance of working with families to assist each child to develop to their full potential. We aim to provide a warm, friendly, supportive environment where the children and families feel respected and valued.

Family Involvement

Families are invited and encouraged to participate in our Program. We welcome family members spending time with us at the Preschool sharing their skills, talents or cultural experiences with us.

Fees

There are no fees to families if their child is Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander or if they hold a current Health Care card.
