As you know there was a General Community meeting held on 27th July 2024. At that meeting a new Board of Directors was elected. Since that date this board has been in place and have been working for the best interest of our community and our Corporation.
We have had to make hard decisions and one of those decisions has been the termination of the CEO, for reasons that will be disclosed to the community at a later date. We are working with our funding bodies, and other stakeholders to ensure that there is minimal disruption to community services going forward. We are confident that any short-term issues can be resolved quickly with the support of our community, staff, members, and stakeholders.
Transition periods do occur, some are easy, and some are hard, unfortunately for MAC, this has been a little bumpy, but as a united community we can work together to get through this transition period, we must remain strong and united as a community. Our aim is to ultimately continue our service delivery and improve on it, and you should see this over the coming weeks.

Our Koori First Steps Preschool will be back open after the holidays on October 7th. Our Preschool Staff ask that parents please only have water in their child’s bottles and not to bring toys in as they have getting damaged.
